I have had a really good creative day and had time to do more than one drawing. That makes me happy! But this sad little picture was inspired by my daughter who has been sick all week. She's been running around in her jammies with a cough and a runny nose, so this is her.

Dog gone days

Hi all- Well, it has been way too long since I've posted something on here. Since I always draw pitures of my kid and cat, I figured it was time to draw the dog. She is cute as can be, but is also the Devil. I'll have to draw her alter ego next time. Hopefully it won't be such a long time before I post another drawing, but with the holidays coming up, and working like a "dog", who knows!

Pajama bag doll

Last month, my mom gave me this super old sewing machine that is so awesome! It is from 1934 and has no reverse on it. It's a beginner(that's me) machine and I've been going crazy on it since I brought it home. I've been making pillows, little doll blankets for Pagies babies, and now I've made a "Pajama Bag Doll". This is the first thing I've made that I'm really proud of. Now Paige can stuff her jammies in the back of it and get them out of her doll when its time for bed. My mom made me one when I was a kid, so I'm passing on the tradition.

Hi all, I just finished up another sketch of Paige. Kids are amazing inspiration. I'm so lucky to have my daughter healthy, happy and a part of my life. I was thinking about that tonight so I decided to sketch her on the Cintiq. Still getting used to it, but getting a better feel for it.

CINTIQ!!!

It has been a long time since I have last posted, but now I have something very exciting to post about! My wonderful husband and his family went in for my bday and bought me a Cintiq! So tonight is the first time I have gotten to use and and draw. I obviously have a thing with cats because it was the first thing I drew, so here it is.... I hope to post many more now because the Cintiq is AMAZING!!!! Thank you family!

The Family

I was feeling very inspired today to draw, so here is my latest. It is a family portrait of myself, Jeremy and Paige. We had a San Francisco "touristy" weekend. We went to fisherman's wharf and saw the seals and ate Trish's mini donuts. Good times! Enjoy the pic.

Super Paige

This sketch was done while we were waiting for our appetizers at Park Chow on 9th Avenue. If you haven't eaten there, go! Good eats. I love sketching in crayon, it forces you to be loose. Paige liked this drawing so I thought I'd post it.

cat poop

Hi all, this is my first drawing that I've posted. I guess it speaks for itself.... I stumbled upon my cat yesterday taking care of business and I found myself wondering how cats pass their time in the can. This is what I came up with. My husband thinks I'm crazy. ;) More to come when I have more time.
